Mrs. Eliza Felthauser, 62, wife of Fred Felthauser, well known Nebraska City carpenter, died Monday as a result of an automobile accident in Omaha late Sunday. Mrs. Felthauser was fatally injured in a crash between cars driven by her son, Ray, of Omaha, and Roscoe Shay, also of Omaha, at Thirty-third and L streets at 10:30 p.m. She died five hours after the accident; her injuries were internal and a broken pelvis. Mrs. Eliza Felthauser, 62, wife of Fred Felthauser, well known Nebraska City carpenter, died Monday as a result of an automobile accident in Omaha late Sunday. Mrs. Felthauser was fatally injured in a crash between cars driven by her son, Ray, of Omaha, and Roscoe Shay, also of Omaha, at Thirty-third and L streets at 10:30 p.m. She died five hours after the accident; her injuries were internal and a broken pelvis. Mrs. Ray Felthauser was cut on the head and her son, Ronald, 1 year old, was cut; Mrs. Olin Felthauser, also in the car, received possible internal injuries which may be serious. Ray and Olin Felthauser was not hurt. Neither were Mr. and Mrs. Shay and their one passenger. Both Ray Felthauser and Shay were booked on reckless driving charges. Except for two years spent in Omaha in 1897-98, Mrs. Felthauser lived most of her life in Nebraska City. She was born Feb. 27, 1874, in Atkinson county, Mo., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett Goff. She was married June 16, 1894, to Fred Felthauser in Nebraska City. Surviving are her husband; six children, William of Nebraska City; Raymond of Omaha; Olin of Omaha; Glen of Hill City, Minn.; Gerald of Nebraska City, and Mrs. Paul Murphy of Nebraska City; four brothers, John, Ben, Jim and Ed Goff of Nebraska City, and 19 grandchildren. Mrs. Felthauser was a member of the Baptist church. The body was removed to the Porter funeral home.
