Description	:	Loretta J. Boshart, 73, of Grand Island, formerly of the Wood River area, died Thursday, June 2, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Wood River Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Darrell Holzinger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Wood River Mennonite Church. Apfel-O'Brien-Straatmann Funeral Home of Wood River and Cairo is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Boshart was born Sept. 19, 1931, at Wood River to Clarence and Ethel (Jantzi) Stutzman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Boshart Jr., and a son, Robert Boshart. Survivors of the immediate family include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Beth Boshart of Wood River; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jolene Boshart of Lincoln, Ann and Doyle Roth of Milford; a daughter-in-law, Karen and Rex Spiehs of Wood River; two brothers, Paul Stutzman and Ralph Stutzman, both of Wood River; and three sisters, Thelma Stutzman of Milford, Merna Boshart of Wood River and Phyllis Bauman of Lincoln. Additional survivors include aunts, Nita Stutzman of Buhl, Idaho, and Arla Stutzman of Harrisburg, Ore.; and eight grandchildren, Todd Roth, Jenna and Brandon Betz, Jill Roth, Matt, Mikele, McKenzie and Seth Boshart. She attended elementary school in School District 16 and 24 and graduated from Wood River High School in 1948. She received a teaching certificate and was a school teacher at School Districts 14 and 18 in Hall County. In her youth, she accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized and has been a lifelong member of Wood River Mennonite Church. On June 1, 1952, she was united in marriage to Amos Boshart Jr. To this union were born two sons and two daughters. She lived and farmed with her husband north of Wood River, until his death in 1991. In 1993, she moved to Cairo and was employed at the Country Greenery until her retirement in 2004. She had recently moved to Primrose Retirement Community. She liked cooking, gardening, quilting and reading the Bible. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She always welcomed family and friends into her home and enjoyed being able to serve them. She was also preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Mary Beth Stutzman.
