Description	:	LAWSONVILLE, NC ~ Mrs. Loretta Stevens Lawson, 67, of NC Hwy. 704 West, died Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born August 16, 1941 in Surry County to the late Arthur Frank and Gladys Etta Lankford Stevens. Mrs. Lawson graduated from Francisco High School in 1959. She owned and operated Loretta's Beauty Shop in Lawsonville for more than 30 years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lawson was preceded in death by her brother Charles Lee Stevens. Read More	LAWSONVILLE, NC ~ Mrs. Loretta Stevens Lawson, 67, of NC Hwy. 704 West, died Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born August 16, 1941 in Surry County to the late Arthur Frank and Gladys Etta Lankford Stevens. Mrs. Lawson graduated from Francisco High School in 1959. She owned and operated Loretta's Beauty Shop in Lawsonville for more than 30 years. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lawson was preceded in death by her brother Charles Lee Stevens. Survivors are husband Archie Lee Lawson of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Regina Lawson of Yadkinville, Andrea Lawson, Kimberly Lawson and husband Richard Emmett of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Aubrey Emmett and Levi Emmett; sister Frankie Mae Martin of Asbury Community; brother and sister-in-law Thomas (wife Betty) Stevens of Westfield (Francisco Community). Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 23 at Howell-Nelson Funeral Chapel of Pilot Mountain with Wake Forest University Chaplain Becky Hartzog officiating. A private interment will follow at the old Mormon Cemetery in Mount Airy. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. immediately prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association in honor of Loretta Lawson, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720.
