She was preceded in death by her parents. TEBELIUS, Loretta (Preszler) Birth - 02/24/1916 Death - 11/16/1996 Age - 80 Source - Bismarck Tribune, 11/19/1996 Loretta V. Tebelius, 80, Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, died Nov. 16, 1996, in the nursing home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church, Seventh St. and Ave. D, Bismarck, with the Rev. Ron Gladen officiating. Burial will be in Chapel of the Chimes Mausoleum, Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck. Visitation will begin at noon today at Eastgate Funeral Service, and will continue to service time. Loretta was born Feb. 24, 1916, at Tolstoy, S.D., the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Zweigardt) Preszler. She was raised and educated at Tolstoy, before she moved to Mandan. The family moved to Harvey, where she graduated from high school in 1933. She married Lawrence Tebelius on Aug. 21, 1938, in Harvey. They lived in Bismarck, where she worked at A.W. Lucas Co. When their first child was born, Loretta remained at home to raise her family. She was a member of First Lutheran Church since 1950 and was actively involved in the Faith Circle. She resided at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center since August 1991. She is survived by her husband, Lawrence; her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Sandra, Eden Prairie, Minn.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Maxine and Gordon Close, Denver, and Linda and David Christianson, Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren, Lara and Marc Tebelius, Brian Close, Scott Close and his wife, Julie, and Heather Christianson; one brother and sister-in-law, Don and Elaine Preszler, Rotunda West, Fla. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family prefers memorials to First Lutheran Church in Bismarck.
