She was born to William and Alina Miller on April 15, 1932, in Hood River, Ore. She graduated from Kelso High School in 1950. She also graduated from Lower Columbia College and Longview Business College. Lorine was a dedicated hard worker and had many roles in her career. She was responsible for parts inventory at Halton Tractor and Jordan Motors, a checker for Albertson's, Safeway, and Fred Meyer's, worked in the banking business, in the state employment office, as a dental assistant, restaurant owner, and part owner and meat wrapper at Miller's Ice and Cold Storage. Lorine was a loving, compassionate daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandma, and a friend to those who knew her. She was witty, funny, zany, and full of spunk. She liked to imitate Lucille Ball. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, watching hummingbirds, sewing, crocheting afghans, fishing, going on outings, and socializing with family and friends. She loved her family and embraced the times she spent with them. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Carl Nelson Moore; and her husband, Richard William Bjornstrom [1931-2013]. Lorine is survived by a daughter...a grandson...three stepsons...a stepdaughter...several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. A viewing is planned from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 30 at Columbia Funeral Service, 1150 Maple St., in Longview. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Cowlitz View Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest with her parents. Arrangements are under the care of Cattermole Funeral Home, Winlock."
