Description	:	SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Lorna Vee Anderson, 61, of South Sioux City entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca, Neb., with the Rev. Richard Whiteing officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Maskell Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today, with the family present at 6 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Lorna was born Nov. 10, 1943, at Ponca, the daughter of Laurel "Fed" and Vera (Nelson) Anderson. She attended grade school at Deer Creek country school and high school at Newcastle Public School. She married Robert Schram on Nov. 27, 1960, at Elk Point, S.D. She lived in the Newcastle area all of her life until the past 15 years, when she moved to South Sioux City. She was a homemaker for many years, and was later employed at Elms Heath Care Center in Ponca and finally at Mid-Step Services in Sioux City until she became ill with the cancer that claimed her life. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Maskell and enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and spending time at her river cabin. Lorna touched many lives and hearts with her quick wit and sense of humor as well as her compassion and concern for her family and friends. She was always ready with a hug and words of encouragement. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, cousin and friend. She is survived by two sons, four granddaughters, two sisters, a special friend, and a cousin. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Richard Young. Sioux City Journal online, August 7, 2005.
