She was preceded in death by her father. Born March 29, 1920, in Cedar County, she was the daughter of Albert F. and Lillian Straub Martin. Lorraine graduated from Tipton High School and married Dewey F. Petersen on June 20, 1948, in Tipton. She worked with her husband at Dewey's Auto Salvage and Dewey's Wrecker and Crane Service. She also worked in registration at the University of Iowa. Lorraine was a member of First United Methodist church, Iowa City. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
