Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greeley. The Rev. Antony Thekkekara will officiate. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. T.J. Lorraine was born on Oct. 14, 1927, at home on the O’Malley Place six miles east of Greeley to Henry J. and Leona E. (Matya) Hartman. She attended District 69 School and graduated from Greeley Public School in 1944. After receiving normal training, she taught at District 69 for three years. On May 19, 1947, Lorraine was united in marriage to Arnold E. Bjorklund at the Church of Visitation at O’Connor. The couple resided on the Bjorklund home place all of their married life. To this union six children were born. Arnold passed away in 1982 and Lorraine moved into Greeley in 1983, making her home there until her passing. Lorraine was a member of Greeley Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she was a lector, rosary leader, CCD teacher and member of the Sacred Heart Study Club. She served on the Parish Council and was a member of the Catholic Daughters. Lorraine also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary Post 186 and served as a chairman of the Greeley County extension clubs. Lorraine’s greatest enjoyment was getting together with family and friends. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, playing the piano, doing puzzles and reading, and was a winner at most card games. Survivors include a son, Bill of Greeley; three daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Wayne Henning of Greeley, Gayle and Jim Hogeland of Grand Island and Mary and Kendall Keuter of Anamosa, Iowa; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, JoAnn Hartman Bertrand of Tucson, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnold; a son, Robert “Bob”; an infant daughter, Mary Catherine; a sister, Esther Krings; a brother, John “Jack” Hartman; a great-grandson, Michael Shane Behnk; and a grandson-in-law, Russell Kelley.
