Pastor Norman Prather will officiate with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00-4:00 P.M. at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton. Lorraine Blair, daughter of Robert and Agnes (Grosse) Hamilton, was born May 12, 1925 at Middle Branch, NE. She attended Middle Branch School until the 8th grade. On February 5, 1947, she was married to Edward Blair at the Lutheran Church in Creighton, NE. Three daughters were born to them, Diana, Debby, and Dotty. She lived in Creighton all her life where she worked as a clerk at Homer Blairs store, the Council Oak Store and at the Gambles Store. She also provided day care for all of her grandchildren and did housekeeping for various people in town. Lorraine was a member of the United Methodist Church, the VFW Auxiliary, and Senior Citizens Club, all of Creighton. She enjoyed reading, being outside, working in the garden and planting flowers. She died Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at the Creighton Care Centre at the age of 83. Survivors include her husband Edward of Creighton; daughters, Diana and husband Don Frisch and Debby and husband Martin Vandersnick, all of Creighton, and Dotty Blair of Norfolk; 5 grandchildren, Cory Frisch and Darla Frisch, both of Creighton, Brett and Sarah Vandersnick of Rochester, MN, Jeff and Angie Vandersnick of Lincoln, NE, and Justin Vandersnick of Lincoln; and one sister, Dolores Fick of ONeill, NE. She was preceded in death by 2 granddaughters, Lory and Trisha Frisch; a sister, Charlene Hamilton; and a brother, Gordon Hamilton. (brockhausfuneralhome.com/obituary)
