Cottril died early Wednesday morning as she was boarding a train at Vallisca, Iowa. Mrs. Cottril with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Roy Cottril, and her two little children, had been to Chicago to visit Roy Cottril, who is in a hospital there. They were returning home and were changing cars at Vallisca. Mrs. Cottrel had been in fairly good health, a few moments before they started to board the train at Vallisca, she complained of her head hurting her, but was able to board the train. Soon after being seated in the coach she fell over in a faint, and was taken off the train and doctors summoned and everything done that could be done for her, she lived about an hour, never retaining consciousness. Friends and relatives left at once on the ten o'clock train and accompanied Mrs. Roy Cottril and the children home. The body of Mrs. Lottie A. Cottril arrived in Skidmore Thursday morning and was taken to her late home. Mrs. Cottril is survived by two sons and a daughter. Charles A. Cottril, Fairview, Kan., Roy Cottril, who resides on the home place, and Mrs. William Taylor northeast of Skidmore. The funeral services will be held at the Christian church in Skidmore Friday, December 12, at one o'clock p.m., conducted by Elder N. R. Davis. Interment will be in the Masonic cemetery."
