She was born on February 8, 1941 in St. Paul, MN to the late Louis Colonna and Stella Christianson. Lou Ann graduated the 8th grade from Bushnell School and attended high school in Brookings, SD. She was united in marriage to Clayton Lemke in Minnesota on May 6, 1961. Lou Ann had various jobs through the years, including bartender, waitress, laundry mat attendant, and a professional house keeper. She loved finding a good deal at yard sales, flea markets, and thrift stores. Lou Ann also enjoyed visiting with friends and family over coffee and cookies. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clayton Lemke and one granddaughter, Nicole Compton. Lou Ann is survived be her children Kim Compton of Brookings, SD and Tim (Connie) Lemke of Bruce, SD. She is also survived by her grandchildren, JD Compton of Brookings, SD, Holly and Ashley Lemke of Madison, SD, Trey Lemke of Bruce, SD, and a foster grandson Joey Murphy.
