Description	:	Highland Recorder November 21, 1968 Miss Lou E. Jones, 78, of Doe Hill, died at her home Saturday morning, Nov. 16 after an extended illness. Miss Jones was a daughter of the late William A. and Margaret (Seybert) Jones, and was born April 22, 1890. She was a member of the Doe Hill United Methodist Church, where she was active for many years in the Women's Society of Christian Service and also taught in the primary department of the church school. Jones, 78, of Doe Hill, died at her home Saturday morning, Nov. 16 after an extended illness. Miss Jones was a daughter of the late William A. and Margaret (Seybert) Jones, and was born April 22, 1890. She was a member of the Doe Hill United Methodist Church, where she was active for many years in the Women's Society of Christian Service and also taught in the primary department of the church school. Miss Jones attended the Harrisonburg State Normal and Industrial School (now Madison College), and returned to Doe Hill to care for her parents. She shared her home with her nieces and nephews and devoted her life in service to her family. Survivors are a brother, Alpheus S. Jones, Doe Hill; two sisters, Mrs. L. W. Shoulder, Mt. Sidney, and Mrs. Alfred Mohler of Mt. Solon; and a number of nieces and nephews. A sister, Mrs. Theo Alphin, preceded her in death. The funeral service was conducted Monday, Nov. 18 by her minister, the Rev. Bernard R. Skeens, from the Doe Hill United Methodist Church. Interment was in the Doe Hill Cemetery with Obaugh Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
