Description	:	Lou Ellen Ambrose Little, 97, of Charlotte, N.C. left her earthly home to be with the Lord on May 1, 2020. She was born on January 21, 1923, in Maryville, Mo., living on the farm with her 2 sisters and 1 brother. She trained as a Home Economics teacher, teaching in various locations in Iowa, until moving to Charlotte in 1965. In Charlotte she worked for Eastern Airlines as Superintendent of the Flight Rate Office until she retired in 1978. Lou Ellen is predeceased by her husband, Leo F. She is survived by her children: Patricia Doty (Ted) of Mint Hill N.C., Floyd Henderson (Mary) of Mission Viejo, Ca., Jeanne Saxon (Kurt) of Matthews, N.C; stepchildren: Thomas F. Little (Deanna) of Punta Gorda, Fl, Robert D. Little (Anne) of New Bern, N.C., James W. Little of TN; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Lou Ellen was a long time member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church. She had a strong faith and was always ready to serve the Lord. She welcomed strangers as well as friends and family into her home. Until recently she held a weekly Bible Study for lunch and fellowship in her home. She loved to cook, sew, work in her garden and do jigsaw puzzles. She was always willing to share her talents. Due to current health restrictions, a Memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Loaves and Fishes at St. Giles, 2027 Emerywood Drive, Charlotte, N.C. 28210 or a charity of your choice. The family is in the care of Heritage Funeral Home Indian Trail Chapel.
