Description	:	Funeral services for Louie C. Pewe, 90, McHenry, ND, were held December 13 in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, McHenry. Interment was in Bethlehem Cemetery, McHenry. He died December 9, 2001, at Valley Eldercare, Grand Forks, ND. Louie was born May 10, 1911, at McHenry, ND, the son of Charles and Rosa (Barnes) Pewe. He was baptized and confirmed in Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in McHenry. He grew up on the family farm south of McHenry and graduated from high school at McHenry. He grew up on the family farm south of McHenry and graduated from high school at McHenry. On June 15, 1938, Louie was united in marriage to Ruby Anderson, of Juanita, ND, in Bismarck, ND. They lived in McHenry where Louie was employed by Standard Oil Company. He retired in 1971 after 33 years of service. Louie served on the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church Council, the City Council and had served as Mayor, on the School Board and Fire Department, all of McHenry. He had driven school bus for many years and had served on the Foster County Selective Service Board for 20 years. He is survived by Ruby, his wife of 63 years; two sons, Larry (Carol) Pewe, Edinburg, ND, and Allan (Dorine) Pewe, Topeka, KS; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Edmund Pewe, Ashley, ND; and two sisters, Irene Johnson, Glenfield, ND, and Marie (Manvil) Anderson, Jamestown, ND.
