Description	:	Funeral services were conducted Thursday, March 14, at 9:30 a.m. at the St. Francis Catholic Church of Ashton for Louis A. Goc, who died early Monday morning. Rev. Michael Szczeny offered the Requiem High Mass and the school choir sang the mass. Burial was in the St. Francis cemetery. Badura Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Harry, Al and Theo Rosmiarek of Ashton, Theo Stobbe of Ashton, Anton Smedra of Boelus and John Sawicki of Ashton. Louis A. Goc, son of Andrew and Magdalin Lopaski, was born on a farm near Posen, Nebraska, June 12 1892. He attended school and grew to manhood in that community. On Febr. 3, 1920, he was united in marriage to Sophia Smedra and to this union were born four children. He farmed in Howard and Sherman counties all of his life. He had been in failing health for the past year and a half. At the time of his death he was 64 years of age. He leaves to mourn his wife, Sophia, daughters Ann Darlene of Ashton, Mrs. Zita Louise Kowalewski of Omaha; sons, Isidore Goc of Rockville, and LaVerne Goc of Carter Lake, Iowa; eight grandchildren, brother Ignatz Goc of Rockville and sister Mrs. John Chelewski of Loup City. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Walter and John; sisters, Mrs. Phillip Grabowski, Mrs. Rudolph Wilson, Mrs. Frank Jerkewicz, Mrs. William Jablonski and Miss Mary Goc.
