Read More	Louis Hoferer Jr. Succumbs After Long Illness Sadness entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hoferer Sr. on Wednesday night of last week when their son, Louis Jr. was taken by death. On Tuesday evening at 6:30 Louis was taken seriously ill and remained in that condition until death came on Wednesday night at 11:40. His death was attributed to cerebral embolism. Louis Andrew Hoferer Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hoferer, was born in Phillip, South Dakota, May 11, 1910 and departed this life at his home in Creighton, Nebraska, March 6, 1935 at the age of 24 years, 9 months and 25 days. At the age of one year, he came with his parents to Creighton, where he grew to manhood, receiving his education in the Creighton schools. He was employed in many business places while attending school, but seven years ago he started to learn the barber trade as an apprentice under Otto Balleweg, later having passed the examination he received a license as a barber and followed this trade until two years ago, when he was stricken with an attack of the flu, from which he never fully recovered. The disease left him with a severe heart lesion, which caused him many hours of suffering and rendered him almost an invalid. Recently he seemed to be improving and his sudden death came as a great shock to his family and friends. He was of a family of ten children of which two brothers, Leroy and Harold and a sister, Williamina, preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his early death, his parents; two brothers, Roland and Carl and four sisters, Madeline and Myrtha, at home, Mrs. Mabel Huwaldt of Breslau, Nebr. and Mrs. Mildred Stubben, Verdigre, Nebr., besides a host of other relatives and friends, who will deeply mourn his loss. Louis, who was affectionately known among his friends as "Pete", was a kind and sympathetic young man and made friends readily with all, both young and old, with whom he was associated. All through his long illness he was patient and cheerful, bearing his suffering with great fortitude. His family and many friends rendered every service possible for his comfort in the hope that he might regain his health and his death came with a distinct sense of loss to all. Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon at 1:30 from the Methodist church in charge of the pastor, Rev. R.B.E. Hill. The last rites for the young man was largely attended and the floral contributions were many and beautiful. The pallbearers were Melvin Blair, Albert Wiegert, Harold and Edward Squire, Albert Wingert and Llewellyn Gordon. The latter three being classmates of the deceased.
