Description	:	Mrs. Mable Hoferer Passes Away Thursday Mrs. Mable Hoferer passed away Thursday, May 7, at the age of 67. She had lived all but three of her 67 years in or near Creighton. Funeral services were conducted at the Grace Bible Church Sunday, May 10 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. J.L. Garland officiating. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Fredrick Wegner, Elmer Ehrenberg, Lawrence Holmes, Merritt Warren, Harry Larsen and Fritz Largen. Mable Ione Hoferer was born Mar. 8, 1886 on a farm southwest of Creighton. Mable Ione Hoferer was born Mar. 8, 1886 on a farm southwest of Creighton. She grew to womanhood in Creighton and in 1903 was united in marriage to Louis Andrew Hoferer. To this union 10 children were born. In 1908 she moved with her husband and three children to Philip, S.D., where they homesteaded. The family moved back to Creighton in 1911 and this has been her home since that time. On March 16, 1947 Mrs. Hoferer became a charter member of the Grace Bible church and remained an active member until her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away in October 1940 and by one daughter and three sons. Surviving are six children, Mrs. Floyd Stubben of Creighton, Mrs. Walter Huwaldt and Mrs. Ernest Lofgren of Plainview, Mrs. Lawrence Prenger of South Sioux City, Roland of Norfolk and Carl of Trona, Calif.; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers. ...The Creighton News 14 May 1953
