Description	:	MUSCATINE, Iowa – Louis E. Eisner, 93, of Muscatine, died Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Bickford Cottage where he had been residing. Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. on Monday, June 7, 2010, at Grace Lutheran Church with a lunch to follow the service. Pr. Gary MacManus will officiate the service. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with Military Rites provided by the combined squads of the American Legion Post 27 and the V.F. W. Post 1565. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with Military Rites provided by the combined squads of the American Legion Post 27 and the V.F. W. Post 1565. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran church in Louie's honor. Louis was born on September 16, 1916, in Muscatine, the son of Edward R. and Dorothy Haverman Eisner. He united in marriage to Ruth Hitchcock on August 2, 1942, at the High Prairie Church in Muscatine County. She preceded him in death on February 16, 2002. He was a World War II veteran serving in the US Army. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and Elks Lodge No. 304, where he was awarded Elk of the Year for 1992-1993. He also served on the board of the Button Museum, where he was the only member of the board that had worked in a button factory. He is survived by a son-in-law, William R. May of Palmyra, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Lois Elaine May on June 4, 2003; and a half brother, Glenn ‘Lefty' Minton.
