He attained the age of 86 years, two months and 20 days. Louis Habbo Siepkes was born on a farm northwest of Lennox, SD., on Dec. 1, 1907, the son of Lucas and Caroline (Plucker) Siepkes. He grew up and attended school in the Lennox area. On Feb. 20, 1930 he was united in marriage to Helen Murra at Delaware Parsonage, rural Lennox. Following their marriage they farmed south of Lennox. In 1974 they retired and moved into Lennox where he had since lived. His death ended a marriage of over 64 years. Besides his parents,he was preceded in death by five brothers: Carl, Enno, Ole, Theodore and Habbo; two sisters: Dena and Lena, and two great-granddaughters. Grateful for having shared his life are his widow, Helen; his daughter, Delores Bunjer and her husband, Ray, of rural Lennox; six grandchildren and their spouses: Larry and Lori Bunjer, Sharen and Michael Ketcham, Diane and Joel Begeman, Carla and Roland Krumbach, Lori and Brad Atkins, Lisa and Todd Wolthuis; 14 great-grandchildren: Betsy and Michelle Bunjer, Mitch, MeLeah and Mallory Ketcham, Jeremy, Jenni and Jodi Begeman, Miles and Emily Krumbach, Ganeene and Josh Atkins, Nicholas and Jessica Wolthuis; one sister: Mrs. William (Louise) Frye of Sioux Falls; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
