Description	:	Rites Held Dec. 23 for Louis Burns Louis Burns, a lifelong resident of Creighton, died at his home Tuesday, Dec. 21 at the age of 63. He had been in poor health the past few years. Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning at St. Ludger Catholic church with the Rev. Edward Schad officiating. Burial was in St. Ludger Cemetery. Louis Henry Burns, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Burns, was born Feb 29, 1908 at Creighton. He attended St. Ludger Academy. On April 23, 1936 he married Helen LaBranche at St. Ludger Church. Mr. Burns worked at a grain elevator here, was custodian at the North Central Public Power District offices and a substitute mail carrier. He was in the military service four years during WWII and was a member of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving are one brother, John and one sister, Mrs. Allan (Lucille) Menzies of Bothell, Wash. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and one brother. ...The Creighton News 30 Dec 1971
