Read More	LOUIS JOSEPH "LOU" KLATKA Holyoke Enterprise, Holyoke, CO, 27 Jun 1996 Louis Joseph Klatka was born on September 18, 1910 in Loup City, Nebraska to John and Julia Klatka. Lou died on June 13, 1996 at Melissa Memorial Hospital in Holyoke at the age of 85. While serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, Lou met Bridget Crehan in London, England. The romance continued and they were married on June 30, 1945 at St. Joseph's Church in South Hampton, England. From this union came two children, Tony and Sylvia. Eventually making their home in Holyoke, Lou worked as a brick layer until his retirement. He was a member of the Holyoke VFW and Legion and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. Lou was also a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Holyoke. Lou was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ed and Clarence Klatka. He is survived by his wife Bridget "Delia" Klatka of Holyoke; his son, Tony Klatka of Denver; his daughter, Sylvia Parker of Ft. Collins; two sisters, Isla Spencer of Oklahoma and Lorraine Stewart of Del Mar, California; and three grandchildren, Tony and Divon Parker and Patrick Klatka of New Orleans, Louisiana. Services were held on June 17 at St. Patrick Church in Holyoke with Rev. Neal Pfister officiating and the Holyoke VFW performing honor guard ceremonies. Burial was in the Holyoke Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holyoke Volunteer Fire Department.
