Description	:	SUPERIOR - Louis Weaver, 87, of Superior, passed away at his residence. He was born October 27, 1929 in Logan to L.B. Weaver and Lavina Stephens Weaver. Louie was the youngest of nine children. He was born 15 minutes after his twin sister, Lois which she never let him forget. He was raised in the Gallatin Valley. Weaver and Lavina Stephens Weaver. Louie was the youngest of nine children. He was born 15 minutes after his twin sister, Lois which she never let him forget. He was raised in the Gallatin Valley. He worked on farms and ranches from the age of fourteen years old. At seventeen he began working on the Northern Pacific Railroad eventually becoming a heavy equipment operator. In 1958 he married Gloria Gildersleeve Hankinson in Superior and made his home there. He became an instant dad to Anna then 6 and Fern 4. In 1959 Betty was born to Louis and Gloria. He survived a terrible car accident in January 1962 from which the doctors said he would never walk again, he learned to run instead. In March of 1962 their fourth daughter Joyce was born. In 1964 Louie and Gloria bought a dairy farm in Stevensville and began milking 180 Holstein cows twice a day selling milk to Meadow Gold for nine years. After retiring from the dairy farm he began mining at Gloria's families' mine, the Gildersleeve Mine, which he did for 38 years in the summers. During the other seasons he worked at Diamond Mill with his Bobcat and did mechanics for many including Energy Partners and Cenex for nineteen years. Louie was well known in the community and really enjoyed visiting with people, making his daily rounds, checking on everyone he knew. He always helped anyone who needed his help. He had a vast knowledge of pretty much everything, a true jack of all trades. He will be missed by so many. He was preceded in death by parents and seven siblings, is wife Gloria in 2010 and his grandson Chad Haskins in 2013. Louis is survived by his twin sister Lois Dyk, and daughters Anna (Tim) Haskins, Fern (George) Mattfeldt, Betty (Dave) Schaefer and seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held for Louie at the Superior High School Mutipurpose Room Saturday Feb, 18 at 1 pm, bring your favorite dish for a potluck.
