Description	:	Louis Paul Krauter age 89, of Sunnyside, WA passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 after an 8 month battle of esophageal cancer. He was born August 4, 1926 to Louis and Etta (Bishell) Krauter in Bakersfield, California. Paul and his family moved to McCune, Kansas when he was 9 months old. His early years were spent there, and the family moved to Sunnyside in 1944, and he graduated from Sunnyside High School class of 1944. Read More	Louis Paul Krauter age 89, of Sunnyside, WA passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 after an 8 month battle of esophageal cancer. He was born August 4, 1926 to Louis and Etta (Bishell) Krauter in Bakersfield, California. Paul and his family moved to McCune, Kansas when he was 9 months old. His early years were spent there, and the family moved to Sunnyside in 1944, and he graduated from Sunnyside High School class of 1944. On August 24,1947 he married Donna Jean Nelson in Sunnyside, WA. Paul worked 42 years for Hanford Patrol as a Patrolman. As a family many summers were spent camping at Lake Curlew and Penticton Canada. After retiring from Hanford, Paul and Donna spent many winters in Parker, Az. with family and friends. Paul loved walking in the desert looking at the rocks and cactus. Paul loved spending time with his 3 grandsons, whether it was fishing or target practice. Paul looked forward to apple harvest each year, so that he could glean the orchard after harvest. We thank you Brent for allowing our dad to fill his apple boxes. Dad made the best applesauce. The past several years he spent many happy hours with a very special companion, Donna. They traveled to many places. They loved to bet a gold dollar on each Mariner/Seahawk game. He loved his yard and his garden, his family and life. Paul is survived by two daughters, Beverly Arnold (James) of Federal Way, WA. Opal Pauline Krauter (Chet) of Sunnyside, WA. 3 grandsons, Brian Arnold (Diana) of Tacoma, WA, Christian Schut (Gladis) of Eagle River, AK and Matthew Schut of Sunnyside, WA. One Great Grandson, Jaxson Arnold of Tacoma, WA, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, his parents, his 2 sisters Pearl Burch and Esther Burkholder. A Celebration of Paul’s life was held at Snipes Mtn. Brewing Company in Sunnyside, WA. The family would like to thank Heartlinks Hospice and his nurse Cheryl and Dr. Albert Brady.
