Description	:	Louis was born to August Besser and Madge Houston. Louis and his wife Ruth died due to injuries suffered in the National Guard Armory fire in Keokuk, Iowa on Thanksgiving Eve, November 24, 1965. Ruth died immediately in the fire. Louis was transferred to a hospital in Burlington, Iowa and died two weeks later. A square dance was being held at the Armory when it exploded. Louis and Ruth loved to dance.
