She was born Louisa Bettie Mae Roach on August 20, 1919 in Seattle Washington to Cornelia and Richard Roach, the youngest of eleven children. Read More	Louisa went Home to be with the Lord on Monday February 16, 2009. She was born Louisa Bettie Mae Roach on August 20, 1919 in Seattle Washington to Cornelia and Richard Roach, the youngest of eleven children. She grew up in Everett Washington where she was known as "Betz" to close friends and family. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord and was an inspiration to many who knew her. Louisa met and later married her husband Fred W. Lefebre while attending college at Prairie Bible Institute in Canada. Together they pastored several churches in Machias, WA, Willow Creek, OR and Lind Cove, CA. Later they moved to Scotts Valley and Mount Hermon, CA where they resided for 23 years. Louisa enjoyed working for 20 years at Mount Hermon where she was the kitchen supervisor at Ponderosa Lodge for many of those years. She often spoke kindly of her coworkers and friends she made at Mount Hermon. Shortly after her first husband Fred passed away in 1982, she moved to Kalispell Montana where she sojourned with her niece Esther Mumford, for several years. Then after being widowed for 14 years she reconnected with her childhood friend Joel R. Anderson who she married in 1994. They resided at Ancora Village Christian Retirement Community in Everett WA until his death in August, 2007. After his death, she returned to Santa Cruz County to live near her sons and their families. She enjoyed singing, church gatherings, Bible study, Scrabble, camping, travel, walks at the beach, rides in the car, seeing the wildflowers in the spring and visits from family and friends. She will be missed by the many family and friends who knew her. She is survived by son Joseph and wife Sandra Lefebre and son Michael and wife Wendi Lefebre, six grandchildren Amanda, Elizabeth, Douglas, Jenine and Alisa Lefebre, Cheryl and husband Joseph Palladino, and two great granddaughters Briella and Samantha Palladino. Three step daughters Debbie and husband Steve Koenig, Bonnie Haidle, Becky and husband Jerry Kenny, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, February 27, 2009 2:00 pm, at the Mount Hermon Chapel, 36 Conference Drive, Mt Hermon, CA 95041. Graveside services will be private. Contributions in her memory can be made to Hospice of Santa Cruz County, 940 Disc Drive, Scotts Valley, CA 95066 or to Mount Hermon Association, P.O Box 413 Mt Hermon, CA 95041.
