Her parents emigrated about 1860 from Balestrand, Sogn og Fjordane, Norway, along with several family members including Kristen's parents, Peder Knutson and Anna Kristensdatter Fjaerestad Ese. Ana was my g.g.grandfather Peder's oldest sister and he and his family emigrated in 1861. Louisa's parents may have changed their last name to Peterson.
