She was the daughter of John and Eva Hartman, being one of a family of 11 children, of which both parents, two brothers and one sister, have passed away. In January 1859 she was united in marriage to John Evans in Baltimroe county, Maryland, and continued to reside there until February 1867, at which time she moved with her husband to Bureau county, Illinois, and resided at that place for ten years,... Read More	Contributed by: Kathy Monical "Louisa Hartman was born at Phoenix, Baltimore County, Maryland, in August 1835, died at Beaver Crossing, Nebr., July 23, 1901. She was the daughter of John and Eva Hartman, being one of a family of 11 children, of which both parents, two brothers and one sister, have passed away. In January 1859 she was united in marriage to John Evans in Baltimroe county, Maryland, and continued to reside there until February 1867, at which time she moved with her husband to Bureau county, Illinois, and resided at that place for ten years, moving to Seward county, Nebraska in March 1879, where she has since resided. She was the mother of eight children, Charles C., Anna E., Mary F., Emma A., John L., George A., James C. and Mamie G., all of whom, with their father, remain to mourn their loss, except Mary F., who died at the age of 13 months. Deceased has always been a devout Christian, having united with the M. E. church at the age of 20, of which she was a member until uniting with the Congregational church in Beaver Crossing in 1879, and later with the United Evangelical church of the same place, being a member of said church at the time of her demise. Funeral services were conducted at the home by Rev. J. L.
