Read More	Franklin County Chronicle, Franklin, NE - Services held October 28 For Mrs. Lizzie Meyer - Mrs. Lizzie Margaret Meyer, daughter of Herman Trebold and his wife Margaret Nee Thole, was born August 30, 1884 in Fillmore County, Nebraska. She was baptized October 19, 1884 at Ohiowa, Nebraska. When still a small girl, she traveled with her parents in a covered wagon to Hoxie, Kansas, where she attended school. After a few years of drought, her parents returned to Fillmore County. Later they moved to Franklin County, where she spent the remainder of her life. She was confirmed March 26, 1899 in St. John's Lutheran Church of Wilcox. She was married to Henry F. Meyer on February 19, 1903 at Campbell. To this union five children were born. In 1953 they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary and in December, 1954, her husband passed away. She rather suddenly passed away October 24, 1969 at Grandview Manor, where she had made her home the last nine months. She reached the age of 85 years, one month and 24 days. Her parents, her husband, one infant son Calvin, one brother Harry, and sister Carrie Golter, preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughter Clar (Mrs. Fred Bartels) of Campbell, three sons, Theodore of Arlington, Virginia, Walter of Campbell, and Cecil of Kansas City, Missouri, one son-in-law, three daughters-in-law, nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one brother Fred of Kearney, three sisters (Ida (Mrs. Charles Day) of Hebron, Martha (Mrs. George Golter) of Englewood, Colorado, and Linda (Mrs. Herman Quadhamer) of Hildreth, and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held Tuesday, October 28, at 2 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastore H. Pralle officiating. Mrs. Glenn Henkel Organist accompanied Mrs. Lyle Niemeyer, as she sang "Asleep In Jesus" and "I'm But a Stranger Here." Pallbearers were Don Bierhaus, Bob L'Heureux, Howard Jesske, Don Bartels, Merlyn Meyer, and Ron Bartels. Burial was at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. The Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
