Description	:	24 November 1949 Mrs Louisa Rossow Funeral services for Mrs. Louisa Rossow, of Stratford, who passed away November 12th, at the Conde hospital, at the age of 92 years were conducted on Tues of last week at 10:00 a.m. at St John’s Catholic Church in Groton. The Rev. Fr. E. J. Coyne officiated. Interment was in the family lot in West Rondell cemetery. Pallbearers were George Face, Ed Samuelson, Ben Matthieu, Earl King, Henry Schinkel, and John Ott. The Rev. Fr. E. J. Coyne officiated. Interment was in the family lot in West Rondell cemetery. Pallbearers were George Face, Ed Samuelson, Ben Matthieu, Earl King, Henry Schinkel, and John Ott. Louisa Wiegele Rossow was born at St. Louis, Missouri on 3 April 1857, and moved to Alma, Wis., with her parents when five years of age, where she grew to womanhood. On November 14, 1889, she was united in marriage to William Rossow, at Alma, Wis. Shortly thereafter they came to South Dakota, where they homesteaded, and where the deceased resided ever since. Mrs Rossow was the last survivor of a large group of pioneers who came from Buffalo county, Wis. She was a home-loving person and devoted her entire life to the welfare of her home and family. Her kind and friendly personality won for Mrs. Rossow the admiration of a host of friends who held her in high esteem. Immediate survivors are her six children: William, Adolph, and Alvina of Stratford; Mrs. Rose Kliegel and Joe Rossow of Watertown, S.D.; Louis Rossow of Whitewood, S.D., and also six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The many friends of the deceased in the surrounding community, extend sympathy to the family in the loss of their loved one. Relatives from a distance attending the last rites were: Mrs. Louis Rossow and son Dale of Whitewood, S.D.; Mrs. Rose Kliegel and son, Lawrence and daughter, Marie, Joe Rossow and daughter, Mae, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Rossow and son, all of Watertown, S. D., and Mrs Emma Nold of Wahpeton, N.D.
