Description	:	Louise Anna Bruntz, 92, of Grand Island, Nebraska (formerly of Holdrege and Oxford, Nebraska) passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. She was born on October 1, 1918, at Mascot, Nebraska, the fourth of eight children born to John and Jennie (Engle) Grosenbach. Read More	Louise Anna Bruntz, 92, of Grand Island, Nebraska (formerly of Holdrege and Oxford, Nebraska) passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. She was born on October 1, 1918, at Mascot, Nebraska, the fourth of eight children born to John and Jennie (Engle) Grosenbach. Louise attended school in Mascot and graduated from Mascot High School with the class of 1937. After graduation, she worked at various jobs in Lexington, Nebraska, Oxford and Holdrege. On August 5, 1939 Louise was united in marriage to Harvey E. Bruntz at Oxford. The couple made their home on a farm north of Oxford. On May 27, 1965, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey. Due to her failing health she made her home in Holdrege Memorial Homes in 2007 and then at Good Samaritan Home in Grand Island. Louise was a founding and active member of her Evangelical Free Church, where she played the organ, was youth leader in her earlier years, served on the District Board of FCWM (Free Church Women's Ministries), was Chairman of the ladies group, a Trustee, Secretary-Treasurer of the Sunday School, substitute Sunday School teacher and served on the Building Committee, and enjoyed visiting shut-ins. She loved the Lord, her family, her church family and her dear friends. Louise was a hard worker on the farm, where she milked cows, raised chickens, and enjoyed tending to her yard, flower garden, and vegetable garden. She did a lot of canning and freezing of fruits and vegetables. She sold Amway products, won many awards and traveled to many different states to attend their conventions. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting and reading. Besides her parents and husband, Harvey, Louise was preceded in death by four brothers: Clifford, Charles, Lester and Johnny Grosenbach and their wives; three sisters: Eva and Violet at a young age and Virginia (Neal) Watson and her husband; and three nephews: Steven, Thomas, and Kent Grosenbach. Louise leaves to mourn her passing her children: Myra Schleusener and her husband, Bill of Grand Island, Les Bruntz and his wife, Judy of Oxford, Roberta Reed and her husband, Irvin of Grand Island, Bryon Bruntz and his wife, Cotty of Holdrege; five grandchildren: Julene Petersen and her husband, Keith, Adam Bruntz and his wife, Michelle, Teresa Dohm and her husband, Erick, Sarah Bruntz and Bryon Mondt; one step-grandson, Keegan Montgomery; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alta Pape of Arvada, Colorado and a host of relatives and friends.
