She had been ill only since Sunday and her death came unexpectedly. She leaves besides her husband, a daughter, Geraldine, three sisters, two of whom, Mrs. Joe Gengler of Lead, and Mrs. Secreta Johnson of Moskee, are here; her father and one brother and an aunt at Moskee. Mrs. O'Brien was born in Creighton, NE, and was married in 1925 at Hill City, SD, moving to Moskee about six years ago. ------------------------------------------ DEATH TAKES MRS. O'BRIEN Louisa Ann O'Brien, oldest daughter of Charlie Carroll of Ekalaka, died last Wednesday, March 21, at Lead, SD, and was buried here Saturday morning. Mrs. O'Brien was twenty-six years of age when taken by pneumonia. She was born at Creighton, NE August 27, 1907, and moved to Java, SD, with her parents the following October. In the fall of 1913 she came to Ekalaka where she grew to womanhood and resided until 1924 when she went to the Black Hills. She was married at Hill City October 1, 1926 to Jerry O'Brien. In addition to her husband and her father, Mrs. O'Brien is survived by a six-year-old daughter, three sisters, Mrs. Joe Gingler of Lead, SD; Mrs. Secreta Johnson, who lives at Moskee, WY, and Mabel Carroll of Redfield, SD, also her brother, Joe Carroll of Draper, SD. Funeral services were held last Saturday morning from 10 until 12 o'clock at the Catholic church in Ekalaka. Interment was in the Beaver Lodge cemetery here. Among the people from out of town who attended the funeral services for Mrs. Jerry O'Brien Saturday were Mrs. Fred Katen. Gerald P. O'Brien, and Martin O'Brien from Moskee, WY, and Mrs, J.T. Gilmore of Deadwood, SD.
