She was baptized and confirmed in Rehna. On March 1 1874, she was united in marriage to Frederich Resewehr. To this union three children were born, Louise, Willam and John. Read More	SOURCE: 9 October 1947 - The Clarence Sun Mrs John Runge, nee Louise Elizabeth Ditz, was born on February 23, 1855, at Bulow near Mecklenburg Schwerin Germany. She was baptized and confirmed in Rehna. On March 1 1874, she was united in marriage to Frederich Resewehr. To this union three children were born, Louise, Willam and John. In October, 1882, Mr. and Mrs. Resewehr with their three children, her mother and her brother, came to America, settling first near Davenport. A year later the family moved to Cedar county which has since been their home. In 1892 they purchased a farm east of Clarence, now the Louie Koth farm. On October 22, 1895, Mr. Resewehr was called to his eternal reward. In October, 1896, she was married to John Runge and this union was blessed with one child, Martha. Mr. and Mrs. Runge continued farming east of Clarence, until in 1910 when they moved to town. Death severed the bonds of matrimony for the second time, when Mr. Runge passed into eternity on August 12, 1939. Since that time, she has been making her home with her daughter and family. She anwered the call of God on Monday, October 6, 1947, having reached an age of 92 years, 7 months and 12 days. Surviving her departure are her four children, Martha, Mrs. Fred Feddersen; William of Clarence; Louise, Mrs. Wm. Busch, of Aberdeen, S.D.; and John of Stanwood; one brother John Ditz, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon at St. John's church. Sermon by Reverend F. J. Mittler. In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Paul Hartwig, Mrs. Augusta Bergmann, Mrs. Elmore Ruther. The pallbearers were Ray Steege, Paul Hartwig, Elmore Ruther, Ernest Kintzel, Henry Feddersen, Henry Hasenbank. Burial was in St. John's cemetery. SOURCE: 8 October 1947 - The Lowden News Relatives and friends from Lowden attended the funeral in Clarence this afternoon for Mrs Louise Runge, widow of the late John Runge, who died at about 3:40 a.m. Monday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs Fred Feddersen, with whom she made her home. Mrs Runge was ill only a couple of days. She had reached the age of 92 years, 7 months and 13 days. Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock at the Feddersen home and 2 o'clock at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church in Clarence. The Rev. F. J. Mittler officiated. Burial was in St. John's cemetery east of Clarence. Mrs Runge was born February 23, 1855, at Mecklenberg, Germany. She was married to Frederick Resewehr in 1876 in her native land and in 1882 Mr and Mrs Resewehr and their three small children, Louise, William and John, came to America, settling in Cedar county. Mr. Resewehr died in 1895. In 1896 she was married to John Runge, who also preceded her in death several years ago. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs Fred Feddersen. Surviving are her four children, a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and one brother, Joe Ditz of Clarence. Among those from Lowden attending the funeral were Mrs William Hensch, Mr and Mrs Franz Klavermann and Mrs and Mrs S. E. Sennett.
