Feb. 16, 1936, she married Pearl Howard Binau of Allerton at the Esther Hall Chapel and the couple had two children. She was a long time member of the New Zion United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher and in the United Methodist Women. She was also active as a 4-H leader and member of the H.P.C. Club, Allerton Chapter EU of the P.E.O. Sisterhood and the senior citizens meals council. Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Otis Babcock; and a grandson, Gerald Hidgon. Survivors include her husband, Pearl, Corydon; son, Charles Richard Binau and wife, Twyla, Overland Park, Kan., daughter Dorothy Fern Hidgon and husband, Dave, Centerville; grandchildren, Carol Sue Broman and husband, Richard, Des Moines; Mark R. Binau, Overland Park, Kan., James D. Hidgon and Richard A. Hidgon, Centerville; and sisters, Dorotha Mann, Cedar Rapids, and Frances Fairbanks, Anamosa.
