Description	:	LOUISE HAUSEN Funeral services for Louise Hausen were held on Tuesday, October 27, 1959 at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Villisca with the Rev. Alvin Sigafus officiating. Pall bearers were Jim Wertman, Henry Stein, Norman Hatifield, Altis Olander, Joe McKee, and Cameron Lane. Flower bearers were Mrs. Lenore Nordyke and Mrs. Mabel Lane. Mrs. Frances Wheeler accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Carolyn Harris in “The Lord’s Prayer” and “In the Garden.” Concluding service and interment was in the Villisca Cemetery with Sutphen Funeral Home in charge. Louise Hausen, daughter of Waldo and Mattie Mayhew, was born July 30, 1898 at Holmes Chapel Community near Morton Mills and passed away Saturday, October 24, 1959, at her home of acute coronary thrombosis. On December 5, 1917, she married Harry E. Hausen at Red Oak, Iowa; four children were born to this union, One son Richard preceded her in death on August 20, 1937. Children who survive are Mrs. Janis Larson of Bellevue, Nebraska, Mr. Robert Hausen of Villisca, Iowa and Mrs. Joan Weiss of Omaha, Nebraska and 9 grandchildren, Chris, Bill, and Sherl Larson; Norman, Jini, Christine, Susan, and Johnny Hausen, and Ricky Weiss. Two sisters also survive her, Mrs. Leona Faulkenhulner of Davenport and Mrs. Zora Anderson of Des Moines. Most of her years as mother and homemaker were spent at their farm home five miles west of Villisca. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church where in her younger days, she was a faithful member of the choir and a well known soloist.
