Description	:	Louise Rebecca Jamison Louise Rebecca, daughter of Fannie and Charles Nicholson, was born in Schuyler county Hector township, New York state, January 9, 1859. When she was 11 years of age the family moved to Sandwich, Ill., in DeKalb county. There she grew to young womanhood. Through her own efforts she obtained an education which enabled her to become a very successful teacher in the rural public schools of Illinois. Read More	Louise Rebecca Jamison Louise Rebecca, daughter of Fannie and Charles Nicholson, was born in Schuyler county Hector township, New York state, January 9, 1859. When she was 11 years of age the family moved to Sandwich, Ill., in DeKalb county. There she grew to young womanhood. Through her own efforts she obtained an education which enabled her to become a very successful teacher in the rural public schools of Illinois. On January 27, 1886, she was united in marriage to Lucian Wilson Jamison of Pawpaw, Ill., and for 15 years this happy couple made their home on a farm in DeKalb county and there their 5 children were born. They are Mrs. Fannie Martin, of Eagleville, Mo.; Mrs. Sadie Barnes, of Lamoni; and Delos N. Jamison, of Carrot River, Saskatchewan, Canada; Harrison at home, and Dewey, of Lamoni Ia.; all of whom survive. In 1901 the family moved from Illinois to Decatur county locating on a farm in the Evergreen neighborhood and this was home to them until the spring of 1933 when Mrs. Jamison moved to Lamoni where she has since resided. She was preceded into the great beyond by her devoted husband who departed this life August 30, 1913. She was the last surviving member of the family of Charles Nicholson. Mrs. Jamison was a kind, loving, and devoted wife and mother, sister, and daughter giving herself unselfishly to the welfare of her family, and home. She was a good neighbor. A friend of whom it was a privilege to know. In early youth, she gave her heart to Jesus Christ and became a member of the Methodist Church and the Christian Faith has always been a source of Joy and comfort to her through her years. About six years ago her health began to fail and regardless of medical and the ministry of loving hands she was never as well as she or her friends could wish, the last two years being an invalid and confined to a wheelchair. In spite of her suffering, she was possessed of unconquerable courage, a most cheerful and patient disposition which endeared herself to the hearts of all who knew her. Then few days ago, her health took a serious turn and she slept quietly away, December 3, 1941, being at the age of 83 years, 10 months, and 24 days. Her children were with her during her last Illness with the exception of Delos who was unable to be here. Besides her children she is survived by seven grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews, besides these many other relatives and a host of friends. Z. M. Bressler assisted by Arthur Lane. Mrs. Roland Schneider and Mrs. Joseph Anthony, with Mrs. Arthur Derry at the piano, sang "In The Garden," "Beautiful Isle," and "Nearer My God to Thee." The pallbearers were T. J. Hill, J. B. Bell, Will Teal, J. H. Anthony, Virgil Barnes, and Emory Martin. Interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery.
