Mrs. Fechner died of a heart attack Thursday, Sept. 6, in Omaha. Louise Rebecca Neumann was the daughter of Christian and Marie Neumann and was born in Cuming county, southeast of Wisner, July 17, 1868. In 1882 the family moved to Stanton where she grew up and spent most of her life. On March 28, 1888 she married Gustav Fechner of Stanton, Five children were born to the couple, four of them still living. One died in infancy. The family operated a hardware store in Stanton for many years. Mr. Fechner passed away in 1938. Three year later, Mrs. Fechner went to live with her daugher in Sioux Falls. S.D. During the past two years she has lived in Omaha near her son Oscar. She was baptized and confirmed a member of the German Lutheran church. Music for the funeral was provided by Henry J. Shultz accompanied by Mrs. Dorrit Wolverton. Pallbears for the funderal were Victor Nene, Roy Whalen Oscar Pilger, Ewald Neumann, Gus Fechner and Carl Boonstrauch (Boonstra). Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Frank Mayer, Sious Falls, S.D.; three sons, Oscar, Omaha; Walter, Stockton, Calif.; Emil, Branson, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Albert Pilger, Stanton.
