Stanley Floth officiating. Interment was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Byron. Heitmann, daughter of Albert and Emma Hoops Hellmer, was born June 1, 1898, near Byron. She was baptized June 12, 1898, and confirmed April 4, 1912, at St. Johns Lutheran Church near Byron. She graduated from the eighth grade from a rural country school. She was baptized June 12, 1898, and confirmed April 4, 1912, at St. Johns Lutheran Church near Byron. She graduated from the eighth grade from a rural country school. She was united in marriage to Fred Heitmann, June 4, 1920, at St. Johns Lutheran Church. They lived and farmed east of Byron until 1947 when they moved to Byron. They were members of St. Paul Lutheran Church since 1930. She was active in Women of ELCA, circle, choir, Altar Guild and flower committee. She was a member of Byron Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Martha Hobelmann and Justine Pohlmann; and a grandson. Survivors include one son, Orvil, Chester; three daughters, Mrs. Wilber Kniep (Leora), Mrs. Max Eggers (Ruby), both of Byron; Mrs. Walt Eggers (Alice), Ruskin; one sister, Mrs. William Reinke (Amanda), Hebron; and 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren.
