Her mother Catherine Bledsoe first married Enoch Corder. Louisia took his name. Enoch was a Confederate soldier who enlisted 1 September 1862 as a Private in Company "B", Second Battalion, North Carolina Troops. He died on March 8, 1863 in a Confederate encampment in Goldsboro, Wayne County, North Carolina of "pleurisy". This relationship produced Louisia and a brother John Henry Corder (1867 - July 21, 1955). They didn't marry until March 18, 1883, just months after Bob's wife, Nancy died. Louisa was almost 11 then. She claimed on her Marriage license of July 4, 1897 that she was the daughter of Robert White and Catherine White. Bobby White is listed as her father on her death certificate. At our family picnics and reunions it was accepted that she was the daughter of Robert Preston White and his mistress Catherine Corder and was born in 1872.)
