Description	:	Son of Isaac and Sue (Davisson) Hill. He married Zeppa Larue Clyman (or Zetta?) on May 6, 1916 in Bloomfield, IA. Zeppa was the daughter of Joseph Hiram Clyman and Etta Jones. See Jones vs Clyman for more information on the Clyman family. Zeppa passed away on July 29, 1918, at the Oakdale Sanitorium in present-day Coralville, IA, from tuberculosis and myocarditis. He married Zeppa Larue Clyman (or Zetta?) on May 6, 1916 in Bloomfield, IA. Zeppa was the daughter of Joseph Hiram Clyman and Etta Jones. Two of Lowell's nieces believe the boys are buried in unmarked graves near their mother. Lowell then married Edith Lindquist on February 25, 1920 in Mahaska Co, IA. They did not have any children. Lowell's WWI Draft Registration card said he was a farmer and had a medium and slender build, with black hair and brown eyes. He suffered fatal injuries in a car accident in Dallas County, IA. *** Unknown newspaper and date: Lowell Hill obituary Lowell Edward Hill youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Hill was born at West Grove, Iowa, January 10, 1892. His father and mother passed away when he was 2 and 3 years of age respectively, and Lowell was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Isaiah Swinney in which home he grew to manhood. The present Mrs. C. V. Lyon was also reared in the Swinney home. The Swinney's manifested a real parental spirit toward these two young people and they grew up in a brother and sister relation. Lowell's entire life had been spent in Davis County and he was one of Bloomfield's familiar business men for over 20 years. As a young man Mr. Hill married Miss Jeppa Clyman of Drakesville. Two children were born to this union, both of whom, with their mother preceded him in death, as did 2 sisters who died in early childhood. On February 25, Mr. Hill was united in marriage with Miss Edith Linquist of Ottumwa, who has been a true and faithful companion across the past 27 years. Death claimed Lowell on Thursday March 27th, by accident, and his untimely departure leaves a void and heavy sorrow in the hearts of his loved ones and many friends. Survivors of his immediate family are his beloved wife, 4 sisters, and 2 brothers who are respectively Mrs. Lowell Hill of Bloomfield, Mrs. C. E. Baker of Oakland, California, Mrs. L. E. Toops of Port Clinton, Ohio, Mrs. Will Kinsinger of Bloomfield, Mrs. F. D. Butner of Wilimina, Oregon, Glen of Indianola, Iowa and Earl of Milton, Iowa. As a boy and young man Lowell attended the Floris Christian church and Sunday school. Hill, about 50, of Bloomfield was killed in a car-truck collision near here shortly before noon today. Coroner L. H. DeFord said the man identified as Hill was eastbound in a new car when it collided with a trucky driven by... (unsure of remaining article). * Unknown newspaper and date: Services Sunday Funeral services were held at the Curl Funeral Home Sunday afternoon for Lowell E. Hill, 55, popular Bloomfield automobile dealer, who was killed instantly in a highway collision near Adel Thursday. Hill was returning to Bloomfield from Omaha and was driving a 1947 Oldsmobile at the time of the collision. A truck, driven by Weldon Grabb of Yale and loaded with tile was the other machine in the mishap. The accident occurred approximately one mile east of Adel. Survivors include his wife, Edith, four sisters, Mrs. C. E. Baker of Oakland, California, Mrs. L. E. Toops of Port Clinton, Ohio, Mrs. Will Kinsinger of Bloomfield, Mrs. F. D. Butner of Wilimina, Oregon, Glen of Indianola and Earl of Milton. Rev. Fred Sawyer conducted the service. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. * Ottumwa Courier - March 28, 1947 Bloomfield Auto Dealer is Killed Bloomfield - Lowell Hill, 55, Bloomfield car dealer was killed instantly Thursday at 11:15 a.m., in a collision with a truck on highway 6 a mile east of Adel, Iowa. Hill was traveling alone and was returning from Omaha driving a 1947 Oldsmobile, which was demolished. The truck in involved in the accident was loaded with tile and driven by Weldone Grabb of Yale, who was uninjured. Hill was well known in this community. He has been an automobile dealer here for a number of years. Surviving are his wife, Edith, four sisters, Mrs. C. E. Baker of Oakland, California, Mrs. L. E. Toops of Port Clinton, Ohio, Mrs. Will Kinsinger of Bloomfield, Mrs. F. D. Butner of Wilimina, Oregon, Glen of Indianola and Earl of Milton. *** Note: Lowell also has a tombstone in the Drakesville Cemetery, with that of his first wife, Zeppa.
