Description	:	Loyd Blosser, 94, a long-time resident of Republic County, died last Tuesday at the Republic County Hospital. Services were Friday at the United Methodist Church, Belleville, with the Rev. Paul Morris officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Paul Morris officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia. Blosser was born Dec. 10, 1899, in Malta Bend, Mo. He was the youngest and the last survivor among seven children of Bettie and Quincy Blosser. In 1906, the family moved to Norway, Kan. Later, he restored and maintained the family home. Following service to his county in World War I, Loyd was married to Bess Potter in 1922. She died in 1979. He built, owned and operated motels in Colorado, Wyoming and Kansas, franchised and operated a Chevrolet dealership. He engaged in farming primarily in the Norway area where he was among the pioneers in irrigation. In 1965, Loyd became a founder of American Investors Life Insurance Company and served as director of the company until his death. He, also, had served as a director of Peoples National Bank, Belleville, from 1983. In 1980, he married Dorothy Peake. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shrine, Jesters and the Republic County Historical Museum. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of the home; one step-son, Rodney Peake; and two grandchildren. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, was in charge of arrangements.
