Lieutenant Johannes "John" HUYCK (Burger55, Burger15, Andries4, Johannes2, Hendric1) was born bef 8 Oct 1757 in Kinderhook, New York and died in 1807 in Adolphustown Twp, Lennox Co, Upper Canada. General Notes: (SMK) Lieutenant Johnannes Huyck went with the Van Alstyne expedition leaving New York 8 Sep 1783 and arrived in Quebec in October. He settled with the expedition in Adolphustown, Lennox Co. [LLC] [WDR] John committed suicide in the summer of 1807. Johannes married Sarah NICOLL . Sarah was born on 15 Apr 1754 and died about 1820 in Adolphustown Twp, Lennox Co, Upper Canada, about age 66. General Notes: (SMK) Gives her name as Sarah Nicoll Montanye. (MKA) Presumably she was a widow. There is no record given of children by her previous marriage. The birth year of 1783 for the first child, when the parents were married in August 1783 suggests the possiblity that he was a child of the first marriage. Finding clergy in 1783 in Upper Canada to perform a marriage was also very difficult. Children from this marriage were: 103 F i.
