Description	:	Lucille Agnes Flndley Walter, 89, daughter of George and Louise Elizabeth Scott Flndley, was born March 6, 1903, in the Hacklebarney vicinity of Montgomery County and died May 27. 1992, at the Good Samaritan Center in Villisca. She lived in the Villlsca-Tenville area and graduated from Villisca High School to 1922. She taught school at Jasper No. 6 and the Oakdale School south of Brooks. She lived in the Villlsca-Tenville area and graduated from Villisca High School to 1922. She taught school at Jasper No. 6 and the Oakdale School south of Brooks. On April 13, 1924, she married James A. Walter at Nodaway. They were the parents of five sons. They made their first home with his parents and he farmed with his father. In 1925, they moved to a farm east of Prescott, in 1939 they moved to a farm near Corning, and in 1942, they purchased and moved back to their first home where they lived until 1984 when they entered the Villisca Good Samaritan Center. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church, the Presbyterian Ladies Society, and the Brooks Flower and Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers. Doyle and Emmett Findley; and a sister Izola Jenkins. She is survived by her five sons, James and his wife Dorothy of Coming, Robert and his wife Zelda of Sanford. N.C.. Franklin and his wife Ruby of Nodaway, Max and his wife Marie of Omaha, Neb., and Clair and his wife Dolores of Boone; two sisters, Velma Case of Villisca and Grace Wright and her husband Jack of Red Oak; one brother, George Flndley of Villisca; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandsons; nine great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren. Services were held May 30 at the First Presbyterian Church in Villisca with the Rev. Sandra Wainwright officiating. Casket bearers were Alvin Stalder, Tom Haley, Harlan Pond. Calvin Haley, Olin Hamman, and Carol Little. Honorary bearers were Frank Tallman, Wayne Green. Brad Outhler, Don Walter, Jim Haley, Ray Walter. Lester West, Dallas Walter, Jim Stalder, Earny Hamman. Albert Hedinger, Merlin Carlson, and Ernest Danielson. Burial was in the Methodist Grove Cemetery at Brooks with Coen-Beaty Funeral Home in charge of arrangements Adams County Free Press, June 4, 1992, page 2
