Description	:	Lucille Drzewiecki was born on July 4, 1933 in Paxton, Neb. She was the youngest of five children born to Bernard (Ben) and Clara Flaming Fast. At a young age Lucille accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. When Lucille was a young girl, the family moved to the Dallas, Ore. community and she graduated from Salem Academy in 1951. They were married on May 20, 1961 at... Read More	Lucille Drzewiecki was born on July 4, 1933 in Paxton, Neb. She was the youngest of five children born to Bernard (Ben) and Clara Flaming Fast. At a young age Lucille accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. When Lucille was a young girl, the family moved to the Dallas, Ore. community and she graduated from Salem Academy in 1951. Lucille continued her education by attending Pacific Bible Institute in Fresno, Calif. for two years. She was working at the Fresno Rescue Mission when she met John Drzewiecki. They were married on May 20, 1961 at Bakersfield, Calif. Two daughters were born to this union. They lived in the communities of Fresno, Modesto, and San Diego where they were involved in Christian missions work. In 1971 the family moved to Boise, Idaho where they managed and operated the Boise Rescue Mission where Lucille served as the bookkeeper. They retired in 2006 and moved to Grant, Neb. Lucille continued to maintain her home after John died in 2007 until she moved to Park Ridge Assisted Living. She had a brief stay in Golden Ours Convalescent Home and died early Thursday morning, Aug. 14, 2014 at the Perkins County Community Hospital. She had reached the age of 81. Lucille was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary and played an active role in the Perkins County Senior Center when they moved to Grant. In addition to her parents and husband, Lucille was preceded in death by her two brothers, Ted and Roy Fast; and her two sisters, Katherine Regier and Alma Vickers. She is survived by her two daughters, Faye and husband Brad Johnson of Grant and Joan and husband Steve)Redd of Meridian Idaho; four grandchildren, Juliana and husband Kip Bradley and Rebecca Johnson of Grant and Mackenzie and Zachary Redd of Meridian, Idaho; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Fast of Bakersfield and Esther Fast of Dallas, Ore.; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were Aug. 18 at the Grant Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Russ Gaar, officiating. Burial was in the Grant Cemetery.
