Description	:	Lucille Lillian Chamra, beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Chamra, died in the home of her parents in Otter Creek township at 12:40 a.m., Monday April 6th, or forty minutes past midnight of Sunday. Lucille passed away at the age of twelve years. Lucille seemed in good health until Wednesday, April 1st, Then she became ill. Her condition did not seem to become serious until Friday. Read More	Lucille Lillian Chamra, beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Chamra, died in the home of her parents in Otter Creek township at 12:40 a.m., Monday April 6th, or forty minutes past midnight of Sunday. Lucille passed away at the age of twelve years. Lucille seemed in good health until Wednesday, April 1st, Then she became ill. Her condition did not seem to become serious until Friday. She later became unconscious, and at forty minutes past midnight of Sunday, she passed away. Her parents called the best of medical aid and had a nurse, but medical science and prompt attention were of no avail. The physicians pronounced death due to spinal meningitis. Lucille Lillian Chamra was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Chamra, prominent residents of Otter Creek township. She was born in Otter Creek and always lived there. She was the only child. The interests of the family centered around her, and deservingly so, for in spite of her few years of life, she was a most dutiful daughter. She excelled in her lessons in school. Though a child, she took a keen interest in the management of the farm home. Life promised much for her, and the parents had high hopes of their beloved child. Lucille was loved by all who knew her, for she was a beautiful child and won the affection of the adults of the neighborhood and her schoolmates at the Pleasant Hill school. Her death is a severe blow to her parents and grandparents. They will ever remember Lucille. Their sufferings, however, will be eased by the memory of a beautiful child. The sorrowing grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. John Chalupnik, of Carroll township, parents of Mrs. Chamra. A loving tribute was paid Lucille, and the best expression of sympathy could be made to parents and grandparents was made by the floral offerings and the large attendance at the funeral, which was Wednesday of last week. Rev. Father Dostal,of Chelsea, pronounced a funeral sermon in the Chamra home at 9 o’clock. Music in the home was by the Catholic choir of Chelsea. The remains then were taken to St. Wenceslaus Catholic church in Carroll township, where Rev. Father Vopatek said requiem high mass. Father Dostal again pronounced a funeral sermon. The body was then laid to rest in St. Wenceslaus cemetery. The pallbearers were cousins of Lucille, namely: Frank Seidel, Wm. Pitka, Joseph Melsa, Emil Ledvina, Ludvik Seda and Albert Dolash. The flower girls also were cousins as follows: Helen Seidel, Julia Melsa, Christine Chalupnik, Sylvia Chalupnik, Elenore Lacina, Anna Seda. Mayme Chalupnik, a cousin, carried a beautiful wreath, which was presented for the funeral. [Traer Star-Clipper, 24 April 1925]
