Description	:	NUNNS, LUCINDA LUCY--Lucinda Marring was born at La rose, Ill., December 22, 1853. She departed this life September 2, 1938, aged 84 years, 8 months and eleven days. She was married to Richard Nunns in 1873, and came to Nebraska with him in 1889 to settle near Geneva, where she has continued all these years. To this union were born three sons and three daughters, Charles, Mrs. Sarah Ritchie, Mrs. Flora Warner, Robert, Fredrick and a daughter Amanda, who died in infancy while the family was still in Illinois. Mrs. Nunns became a Christian in early life... Read More	NUNNS, LUCINDA LUCY--Lucinda Marring was born at La rose, Ill., December 22, 1853. She departed this life September 2, 1938, aged 84 years, 8 months and eleven days. She was married to Richard Nunns in 1873, and came to Nebraska with him in 1889 to settle near Geneva, where she has continued all these years. To this union were born three sons and three daughters, Charles, Mrs. Sarah Ritchie, Mrs. Flora Warner, Robert, Fredrick and a daughter Amanda, who died in infancy while the family was still in Illinois. Mrs. Nunns became a Christian in early life and was active and faithful until the infirmities of age enfeebled her. Her companion preceded her in death by forty-five years, leaving the responsibility heavy upon her. She was a member of the United Brethren church all these years. She was a good neighbor and a sympathetic friend. An old friend said, "She was a big mother." She assisted in the care of many babies and was helpful to the sick. She was a real pioneer. She leaves to mourn with others eighteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She sleeps beside the companion of her youth in the Geneva cemetery. Services were held at the United Brethren church Sunday afternoon, led by the pastor, Rev. H. A. Dierdorff. Many flowers told of the esteem of friends. Among those from a distance in attendance at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. R. R .Ritchie of Black Well, Ok; Mrs. Lee Warner of Alva, Ok.; Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Robbins and daughter Sarah Jane of McPherson, Kas; Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Brown, Miss Edna Nunns, and Charles Warner, all of Lincoln; Mills Mary Brennan and Ruth and Lucy Nunns of Hastings. ALSO: Expression of thankfulness: Your great kindness and generous sympathy at the time of our grief, caused by the death of our mother, Mrs. Lucy Nunns, has been of untold comfort to us. Such sorrow as has come to us; must at some time come to all, and it is our sincere prayer that in such event, you too, will meet with the same kindness that your loyalty and friendship so richly deserves.
