Description	:	Death Claims Both - Death has this week twice entered a St. Paul home and removed therefrom its only inmates, an old soldier and his faithful wife. At 7 o'clock Monday evening Mrs. H. W. Nichols succumbed to a prolonged attack of illness and the spirit of her aged husband followed at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning. Both have been suffering from la grippe for several weeks, which together with their extreme age and other infirmities made recovery impossible. Both bodies were buried in one grave in the city cemetery. Lucinda Elwood was born in Courtland county, New York, November 14, 1833, being 70 years, 3 months and 8 days old at the time of her death. She was married to Henry W. Nichols at Hume, N. Y., September 19, 1852. Four children are the fruits of this union, all of whom survive their parents. They are Letitia Tompkins of Trumbull, Neb., Clark Nichols of Lyons county, Iowa, Charley Nichols of Dunlap, Iowa, and Alanson Nichols of Joliet, Ill.
