Mrs. Burrell was born April 24. 1886 at Urbana, Ia., to LeRoy and Emma M. Nichols Rice. She married J. D. Burrell and 30 years ago they moved to Quimby where she has made her home. Mrs. Burrell was born April 24. 1886 at Urbana, Ia., to LeRoy and Emma M. Nichols Rice. She married J. D. Burrell and 30 years ago they moved to Quimby where she has made her home. She was a member of the Quimby Methodist Church, The Washta Eastern Star and Quimby's Women's Club. Survivors are: one daughter, Mrs. Peter (Ruth) Carstens, Cherokee; Peter Carstens, Cherokee, a son-in-law; Mr. and Mrs Jud Miller, Council Bluffs; one brother, Fred Rice, Hot Springs, Ark. Also four grandchildren, Mrs. Benjamin Mason, Fort Bragg, N. C.; Mrs. Roy Cook, West Hartford, Conn.; Paul Miller, Clarinda and Elizabeth Miller, Council Bluffs. David Cook, West Hartford, Conn., a great grandchild, also survives. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Burrell; one daughter, Josephine Miller and a grandson, Joseph Miller. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Quimby Methodist Church with Rev. Harlan Faris officiating.
