Description	:	Lucy McCray Botkin, 87, died Saturday May 6, 2000 at Augusta Medical Center. She was born Feb. 9, 1913 at Headwaters, a daughter of Owen Reese and Louie Viola (Armstrong) McCray. She was a homemaker and a member of the Headwaters Presbyterian church and a member of the McDowell Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxilliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert L. Botkin, on June 30, 1993, four brothers and two sisters. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kristin and Gary Tilt of Douglasville, Ga., a son, and daughter-in-law, Owen C. and Carolyn Botkin of Annandale; two brothers, Leo of McDowell and Earl McCray of Deerfield, five sister-in-laws, Pearl McCray of McDowell, Anna Lee McCray and Laura Stewart of Headwaters, Dorothy McCray and Myrtle Hoover of Doe Hill; two brother-in-laws, Bennie Ralston of McDowell and Gernon Hoover of Doe Hill; four grandchildren, Mike Hardin of Simpsonville, S.C., Rachel Botkin of Washington, D.C., Kelli Hardin of Douglasville, Ga., and Daniel Botkin of Annandale; and neices and nephews. A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Lester LaPrade with burial in Headwaters Cembtery. Pallbearers will be Benny Ralston, Dennis Armstrong, Ronnie Miller, Dennis Barnes, Bob Simmons and Ralph Fadeley. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.
