Description	:	Lucy Juanita Trumbley was born January 31, 1926, at Humboldt to Albert F. and Sarah F. (Tinkler) Lionberger. She passed away on December 13, 1994, at the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, at the age of 68 years, 10 months and 12 days. Following her graduation, she married LeRoy... Read More	Lucy Juanita Trumbley was born January 31, 1926, at Humboldt to Albert F. and Sarah F. (Tinkler) Lionberger. She passed away on December 13, 1994, at the Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln, at the age of 68 years, 10 months and 12 days. Her childhood years were spent at Humboldt where she attended school , graduating from Humboldt High School. Following high school, she took employment for a short time at the Humboldt Power Company, prior to coming to Lincoln and attending the Lincoln School of Commerce for one year. Following her graduation, she married LeRoy Trumbley. Two very charming sons and one charming daughter blessed this union. She later was divorced from LeRoy and spent several years alone. Lucy was a very family conscious mother, often sacrificing her own personal wants for those of her children and family. She was employed at the State Railway Commission, later known as the Public Service Commission. Her hobbies revolved around ceramics and sewing, as she enjoyed working with her hands. She later met Ernest Sol and eventually oved to Geneva upon her retirement to be closer to him. The remainder of her years were spent taking care of Ernie, the house and Ernie's daughter, Susan, who was troubled during these years with frequent bouts of foot infections due to a diabetic condition. Throughout her life, Lucy was always a very selfless person, who always place the needs of others before her own. She maintained a devotion to her family and roots and always continued to care for her parents and siblings. She came from a very large family and with the death of each sibling, the loss was noted, with the remaining members of the family becoming more and more close. Her love was for each and every one of her brothers and sisters and she was especially close to her little brother, Eugene, and her oldest sister, Opal. Not that they were any more special to her, but that they always maintained their roots in Humboldt. Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers and sisters and special friend, Ernie. She is survived by her sons, Lyle P. of Lincoln and Mark A. Trumbley of Dunkerton, Iowa; daughter, Linda (William) Medina of Lincoln; brother, Albert E. "Gene" Lionberger of Humboldt; sisters, Beulah Starnes of Springfield, Mo., and Opal Munson of Humboldt; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Cremation, followed by mermorial services were conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, December 16, from the Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva. ALSO: Lucy J. Trumbley, 78, Geneva, died Tuesday (12/13/94) in Lincoln. Survivors: sons, Lyle P. Sr., Lincoln; Mark A., Dunkerton, Iowa; daughter, Mrs. William (Linda) Medina, Lincoln; brother, Gene Lionberger, Humboldt; sisters, Beulah Starnes, Springfield, Mo., Opal Munson, Humboldt; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
