Read More	Ernest Arnold Sole was born to Alwynne Sole and Iva Fern Chaney Sole on September 22, 1919, at Stella, and passed away April 15, 1994, at the Bryan Memorial Hospital in Lincoln, at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 23 days. He was one of 11 children in the family. Ernie was raised primarily in Fillmore county. He attended Geneva Public School. He was in a C.C. Camp for several years before entering the Army. Ernie was inducted into the Army on February 25, 1942, and discharge on October 29, 1945. He served in the Army Air corp. in Africa and the Middle East during World War II. After the service, he returned to Geneva where he worked for the U.S. Postal Service, Brown Trucking, Firestone Tires, BH&L, Pillsbury Corporation and most recently Geneva Agri-Supply for Dan Lauenstein. Ernie was married to Marion Phyllis Clark of Geneva, and to them two children were born. Ernie was a lifetime charter member of the V.F.W. in Geneva, he was also a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ. He enjoyed his family and friends. Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, Alwynne and Iva Fern Sole; wife, Marion Phyllis Sole; step-daughter, Irene Johnson and brother, Owen Sole. He is survived by his wife, Lucy of Geneva; son, Arnold of Leavenworth, Ks.; daughter, Susan (James) Lundak of Lincoln; step-sons, Larry Young and Mick Harder, both of Portland, Ore., Gerald Young of Crosby, Tx., George Young of Milwaukee, Wis., Jon Cloyd of Omaha, Lyle Trumbley Sr. of Lincoln and Mark Trumbley of Dunkerton, Ia.; step-daughters, Judith (Joseph) Vacck of Hastings and Linda Bartck of Lincoln; brothers, George Sole of Dallas, Tx., Richard Sole of Waterloo, Ia., and Clair Dailey of Grand Island; sisters, Jennie Griess of Grand Island, Jean (Robert) Moritz of Milford, June Sole of Pleasant Dale, Bernice Hochreiter of Grand Island, Iva Fern Bussard of Crete and Mrs. Allison (Dale) Patton of Roy, Wa.; 27 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Memorial services were conducted from the Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva on Wednesday, April 20, with Rev. Wanda Bennett officiating.
